COVID 19 Info & Updates

NOTICE TO MEMBERS RE. BSC COVID POLICY EFFECTIVE MARCH 12, 2022

On Monday March 7 the Blaine Senior Center board voted to accept the State Department of Health recommendation that the mask mandate be lifted as of March 12 and to follow subsequent guidance and/or mandates based on Whatcom county’s current community covid risk level.  A graphic explaining the current guidance is below.

As the Whatcom community risk level changes, our guidance to members will change accordingly.

The two exceptions to this are as follows:

  1. Any member or BSC employee/volunteer in a close contact BSC business situation may request that all parties wear masks and all must comply for the business to continue.
  2. All BSC employees/volunteers involved in Meals on Wheels must continue to wear masks as per guidance from the Whatcom Council on Aging. When this changes, all affected parties will be so notified.

This decision by the BSC Board was not taken lightly and we thank our members in advance for their continued patience, courtesy and respect for all, regardless of their mask stance.
