Blaine Senior Center Executive Director

The Blaine Senior Center (BSC) is a membership non-profit 501c3 community center with the mission of supporting seniors by providing recreation, fitness, and nutrition for all seniors in the City of Blaine and the surrounding areas including Birch Bay. 

The Executive Director is critical to that success, and we are looking for an exceptional talent.  We are looking for a professional and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as the Blaine Senior Center Executive Director. 

This role is responsible for overall day to day management and operation including meeting the financial expectations outlined in the annual budget. The Executive Director advises the Board of Directors in policy, procedure, and budget.  The right applicant will coordinate with local organizations and the City of Blaine to meet members needs while maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and local requirements. The Executive Director must develop and adhere to all policies as set forth in the Policy and Procedure Manual. The position is overseen by the Blaine Senior Center Board of Directors and will be directly responsible to the President of the Board of Directors. 

Job Type: Full time, salaried.

Full-time Pay: From $62,000 per year

* 5+ years of management experience.  Non-Profit management experience preferred. 

* Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in business, management, non-profit management or equivalent. 


* Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing.

* Proficiency in MS Office programs including Excel and Publisher.

*Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret business goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.

* Ability to train, coach and mentor staff.

 * Flexibility in approaching problems and dealing with diverse customer service issues and member base.

* Responsibility for maintaining a safe and clean working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

Work Environment:

 * Constant standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and/or lifting, primarily in an office environment.
